Guide for installing your panoramic prints
Les Paysages Singuliers
These guides are for assistance only, we are not responsible for the preparation, installation, and choice of glue, which are the responsibility of the installer.
PREAMBLE: We invite you to check for any defects, color, order, sequence, and connection of the strips before installation. Wallpapers must be handled with care. If you experience any problems, please contact us. Once the design is installed, no claims can be accepted.
MATERIALS NEEDED: A cutter, a scraper, a wallpaper seam roller, a sponge, a clean cloth, non-woven wallpaper paste, a pasting brush, a bucket, a ladder
PREPARE YOUR SURFACE: Your surface must be clean, healthy, smooth, dry, and uniform in color (preferably white except for dark decors).
> On shiny and satin paint, sand with sandpaper so that the glue can hold.
>On new or porous walls, apply a plaster or pre-glue primer 24 hours before installation.
INSTALLATION:
> Use a specific water-based adhesive for "nonwoven backing." Evenly distribute the adhesive over a section of the wall that is slightly wider than the strip. Soak the paper before placing it on the glued wall.
> Install the strips: Each strip is numbered for installation from left to right and from top to bottom in double-cut. Position each strip, checking for perfect plumb, and install one strip after the other according to the pattern of the panoramic design. Smooth the surface with the scraper to remove excess glue and air bubbles.
Note that immediately after installation, you can slightly slide the strip to ensure the seam is properly aligned. A wallpaper seam roller can help achieve invisible seams. Quickly wipe away any excess glue with a damp natural sponge without scrubbing. To cut the excess paper on the edges, press the wallpaper firmly against the seam without folding it, then make the cut.We can recommend professional installers, contact us at contact@atelierdumur.fr
Les Dorés
PREAMBLE: We invite you to check for any defects, color, order, sequence, and connection of the strips before installation. Wallpapers should be handled with caution. If there is a problem, please contact us. Once the design is installed, no claims will be accepted.
MATERIALS NEEDED: A cutter, a scraper wrapped in a cloth, a sponge, nonwoven wallpaper adhesive, an adhesive brush, a bucket, a ladder.
PREPARE YOUR SURFACE: Your surface must be clean, healthy, smooth, dry, and of uniform color (ideally yellow ocher, especially at the seams). We recommend preparing a greasy wall coating (IMPEC, Girad, or equivalent coating) for the smoothest possible effect. The corners must be sharp and clean."
INSTALLATION:
Installing "Les Dorés" wallpaper requires special care and attention. We recommend hiring professionals. Their backing is handmade with copper sheets, so they cannot be folded.
> Glue your wall: Use a specific water-based adhesive for "nonwoven backing." We recommend Ovalit TM. Evenly distribute the adhesive over a section of the wall that is slightly wider than the strip. The wallpaper should not be soaked; it should be installed dry.
